Parking Brake

I have the following problem:
often, not long after having started on my way to one place or another, the indicator light for the parking brake will begin flashing intermittently. This occurs even after I have disengaged it and have double- and even triple-checked the brake.
Has anyone else experienced this problem and if so, how have you dealt with it??

Thanks,
Luke

Re: Parking Brake

Yes, and when it happens, I reapply the parking brake, and release again, and all is well. It appears the parking brake is released, but the foot pedal has not slammed back against the switch to turn off the warning.
I have not taken it to the dealer, and have not looked into the problem, but my GUESS is it needs a bigger return spring.

Thank you.
I actually read your reply and then was on the road and had to apply this reasoning and sure enough-it worked.
