Re: Bluetooth ODB scan-tool

I've used a similar product from scantool.net (ElmScan5). ScanTool makes a solid product and has great support. I can't speak for that off-brand on ebay...it is a good price, though.

The ElmScan was sort of an impulse purchase...I toyed with a few times then put it on the shelf. It's neat to see all of the data represented on your PC in charts, graphs, and mock gauges, but I just didn't find it that 'useful.'

I find my SuperChips Cortex easier to use for reading and clearing codes...

Re: Bluetooth ODB scan-tool

Ok so after searching a lil more on these I found a app called torque for android phones that looks really good. I think im going to get one and try it out. I have 4 cars that all use OBD2 so just the ability to check and clear codes on everything has to be worth more than $25.

I think DashCommand for Android works with most Bluetooth units too; but it's a little pricey.

EDIT: Oh, but Torque gets WAY better reviews. Forget DashCommand! LOL!
