Not only do they have a pic of the H1 interior, but also they say that the SUT will have a power Midgate instead of manual. Just push a button and the window slides down into the midgate and you then fold it down, I guess still by hand. It would be cool if the Midgate could power fold. Guess they're saving that for an upgrade.

I knew they would dump some money into the H1. There is so much interest now in the Brand Hummer.

I hate the seats though. They look like fat-guy seats. Too overstuffed looking.

That's true, but I think the market will pick up some.

Case in Point: While driving on the 405 to 101 tonight I saw about 15 H2' heading the opposite direction and yes, believe it or not I DID see a pewter H1 as well. I just think there will be enough interest gained in the H2 crowd to have enough of them switch into the H1 depending on their needs. I could be wrong.

Here's hoping that the used H1 market will become an easier option for the poor!

I used to see H1s at least once or twice daily, not any more. It is logical to assume they traded for H2s, or at least just drive H2s and park the H1s. H2 is a reliable easy-to-live-with everyday car. For an oddball like me, that maybe more reason to drive a H1. With the exception of my immediate neighborhood, I still rarely see H2s.

It amazes me how often people thought my H2 is H1 or whatever. People would compliment my H2, then said: "there is a new H2 now." "have you driven the new H2?" thinking my H2 is H1. Such confusion is very common among friends and strangers.

I've seen the new H1 interior, my reaction was "OK, what's the big deal?"
The exterior is what makes H1 a true legend.

Mac,

I like the console but the seats are a little mushy and fat looking. I have an '03 with the leather wrap-around seats. It feels like a cockpit, which is cool. The new seats look like a lazy-boy, just not appropriate for an H1. Before you know it they'll do digital instrumentation like they did to Vettes in the 80's. I hope not but you never know.

I like the H1's but for me its not practical. Yeh, tell my wife she has to ride in the passengers seat, with that leg room to Myrtle Beach. Thats not going to happen. If I owned an H1 my buds would have to ride to and from our motorcycle rides in the front seat. A normal sized person will not be comfortable riding for very long at all, up front of an H1. I think everything has its place. Right now I cant afford to use my H2 to pull a H1 to off-road in! No matter what they do to the H1 I dont think I will be buying one any time soon.

Dirts for racing and pavements for getting there!

I like the looks of the new interior.
I might consider buying an H1 if they keep improving like they have been.
I drive my H2 quite a bit, so comfort is a concern, but offroading abilities are also a big concern. I would rather be a little less comfortable, than give up the abilities of the H1.
