3.7L 5 Cylinder vs.........

i love my H3, but i think the H3 should have been a 4.0L V6. anyone else agree?

The 4.2L from the Trailblazer OR Envoy would have been a better choice, but if you compare the MPG ratings between the 5 cyl and the 8 cyl I would say the V8 is the better pick. Doesn't have to work as hard, and would probaly end up with the same gas milage or God fobbid Better MPG's . Just my .02 :D

thought the same thing. when i was purchasing my h3 they had no more alphas or i would have bought one of those. i find that the regular h3 is a little underpowered. 4.2 would have been the way to go. i had an envoy xuv before i bought this and even found that that could have used a little more power.

I disagree. With the 3.5 in a 06 its got everything & saves some mpg over the v6 and v8!

Why not a 5.0 HO or an 8 litre with a 4:11 rear, 6 on the floor, quad exhaust, flames, dice and fur...

do you want a drag car, a drive in restaurant cruiser or a HUMMER ...

make your mind up !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

so you think it has enough power? a 4L V6 would be perfect for it in my opinion.

A V6 was in the works for the H3 in 2010 but that has all been shelved because of what GM is doing with the brand...

I personally like the I5, it gets the job done for what the truck was meant to do. It's not a race car, and it never was meant to be.

This reminds me, I watched the Aussie Top Gear on youtube yesterday, what a joke. They raced an H2 Limo around their track... What are these people smoking?

The I-5 does have to stress a lot and that goes for small tasks such as passing another vehicle on the freeway. It'll be interesting to see if these motors can handle 150K+ miles with all the stress and high revving it displays.

Well i stuck on a K&N filter, Jet Tbody spacer, Jet performance chip and a Gibson side exit exhaust. I have noticed a decent power increase, really improved throttle response and my im figure'n out my milage this week. So ill let you know how that goes. Maybe you should give those a try.

Dam Im expecting 250,000 + miles

I find it doesnt work to hard climing hills,
Unless the 4,000 lb campers hooked up then it strugles to get up the long steep hills.
I find when towing go into the hill at 65 to 70MPH then by the top I end up about 50MPH and it will stay in 3rd gear.If I try to keep it at 55 or 60MPH it goes down to 2nd and revs about 5,000 + RPM and fights to climb the hill.
