In addition, the GM Foundation will contribute $100,000 annually for six years to strengthen communities’ ability to prepare and respond to emergencies. </P> <P class=style1>Red Cross representatives will be on hand at the following HUMMER dealerships to take delivery of their Chapter’s HUMMER H3 on December 13: </P> <UL class=style1> <LI>Gerry Lane HUMMER, Baton Rouge, La. <LI>Rogers-Dabbs HUMMER, Brandon, Miss. <LI>Ron Carter HUMMER, Houston. </LI>[/list]<P class=style1>The fourth H3 will be delivered to the Red Cross at HUMMER of Metairie in New Orleans later this month. </P> <P class=style1>“The GM Foundation and HUMMER are pleased to put these capable H3 vehicles in the hands of the Red Cross chapters that need them most,” said Rod Gillum, GM vice president Corporate Responsibility and Diversity and Chairman, GM Foundation. “Through our long-term partnership with the American Red Cross, we believe that HUMMERs like these will give Red Cross community volunteers better mobility when and where they need it.” </P> <P class=style1>“We are grateful for this generous donation from HUMMER and the GM Foundation and for their support of our humanitarian mission,” said Joe Becker, senior vice president of Preparedness and Response, American Red Cross. “The Red Cross responds to more than 70,000 disasters each year, whether it is a hurricane or a single family fire in your neighborhood. By helping the American Red Cross, HUMMER and the GM Foundation are helping America.” </P> <P class=style1>To help make it easier for Red Cross volunteers, each donated H2 and H3 will be equipped with complimentary OnStar services, including hands-free calling minutes and OnStar’s “Directions and Connections” plan. It provides drivers with driving directions, and help finding hotels, gas, and other destinations. It also includes air bag deployment notification to OnStar advisors, remote vehicle diagnostics, remote door unlock and other emergency help. The donated vehicles will also include Major Guard Protection extended service coverage. </P> <P class=style1>The American Red Cross is where people mobilize to help their neighbors—across the street, across the country and across the world—in emergencies.
