Other good H2 or H2 related forums

Hey all,
I am looking to join some other forums that would be good in regards to our H2.

I am not sure which are the best and I dont want to blindly go joining 50 million forums either.
Basically I am looking for H2 specific (like this one), but I am also looking for others that are related to the H2 that can help me with repair or parts or whatever (ie. like I think someone said the Chevy Tahoe guts is similar to our rigs?)

Thanks

I'm curious about this as well. I felt like it was fairly active when I had the older style H2 now that I jumped up to the newer one I feel like there is less support.

Re: Other good H2 or H2 related forums

You guys are already on the most active H2 forum that I've been able to find--and I'm a member of 8 different HUMMER forums.
This is the best group of continuously contributing H2 owners I've met, and also the best place to find deuce parts.
Not to discount any of the other forums by any means, H4O seems to be the most hard core group of HUMMER owners along with CHO. The Canadian guys are very active in their forums, with the Albertans seeming to stand out in doing runs and hanging out. The French Canadians seem to be strong in the H1 crowd and parts dealings.
Unfortunately with the advent of Facebook I think the forums are really going the way of the VHS tape. I don't Facebook, but I know the forum guys are hanging out there alot it seems.
So you've got quite a few choices for HUMMER related talk, but you're already home and don't know it. :beerchug:

Re: Other good H2 or H2 related forums

twinmill,
Thanks for the info, but mainly what I am looking for is another forum to be a part of that might be a good one (which according to you H4O might be the next best place to look). It isnt that I am looking for the best.... just another.

I have been on this one for years and know its the best :beerchug:

As for the other Hummer related sites, what I am also looking for are sites that are related to things involved in our H2 (like it was mentioned, I know that our drive train is part of the GM lines of trucks to a point so I was asking from which truck and what would be the best group to participate in.... this way I can get drive train help if or when needed)

If anyone has some forum info related to the drivetrain of our vehicles, please post them up.

My personal opinion is:

H4O is full of H3's, seriously about every new post each day is related to an H3.

CHO is about half and half I'd say but a strong H2 crowd and my preferred site.

I used to love this forum but it died off over night it seemed a while back.

Understandable,
I am what about hummerforums.com?

Also, do you have any insight on a decent forum on help with the drive train?

Agreed...but you should note that CHO is mostly an 'off-road crew;' H4O is too for that matter. I'm seeing more and more of our fellas pop up on CHO. It's starting to feel like 'old home week.'

CHO is definitely WAY more active than Elcova. I just wish we could transplant some of the historical knowledge from here to there.

Re: Other good H2 or H2 related forums

H40 is a great forum for H2 drive train knowledge, Zach (who I think is a member here but does not frequent much) has a built H2 and is a GM parts guy, so he can get you info and parts to make it work. Zach and I have been swapping parts from left coast to right coast for a few years now and is a great guy to deal with.
There's also a Blazer guy on H40 that has transplanted a diesel into his truck and has BUCKET LOADS of knowledge on everything mechanical, including the HUMMER's.
It's a smaller H2 crowd over there, but the guys know their deuces.
Also, H4O brought a HUMMER mechanic into the forums and has an "Ask Mike" section to post up HUMMER related problems, so that's a good source of info as well.
Yeah, they're H3 heavy there, but still a great group of guys who love the hobby as well as and possibly more than us.

Unfortunately HUMMER Forums seems to be on life support, sad to say because it has the most logical name for a HUMMER forum.
HUMMER X Club is another one that's been around for awhile and has some die hard members, but has gotten slow over the years.

I like to surf across several of the forums for different HUMMER needs--Elcova has always been the best for me to sell any H2 parts I had, lots of good people on here.

Re: Other good H2 or H2 related forums

Do we have any websites on these?
I am not coming up with much.
The closest I have come is the CHC (canadian hummer club)

Thanks
