I got mine from trail duty ... it has a bracket for mounting it on the dash ... I'll try to take a picture and post it.

Mounted mine on the visor. Figured that I'd pull down the visor when the time comes. Haven't been off kilter since I bought it though. May still mount it on the dash. We'll see.

mounted both of ours above the rear view mirror on the windshield. It's up high were it needs to be in the center of the truck, but it's not straight up and down. So it may be close to accurate, but not perfect.

I couldn't find a spot that was straight up and down without using a bracket.

Although the visor would work, somtimes you are in a spot were you can't have the visor hanging down in front of your view to see a spotter.

FWIW..........

I just ordered one from them tonite. Can you take it off of the bracket or is the whole thing there forever?

fourfourto 03-20-2006 12:50 AM

are you using it for right /left angle or for foward/back angle.

You can take it off the bracket and mount with the 3M tape. You can mount the bracket with screws or 3M tape. BTW, the bracket is a 2 piece design so you can mount it as many ways as your imagination takes you...

NEOCON1 03-20-2006 01:04 AM

side to side is most important , but would like a way to make it where i can flip it the other way too , for seeing how steep of stuff im going up may need a second one on B-pillar for that

442 im seeing the top third of your pic and nothing else

PackerFever 03-20-2006 01:08 AM

I was thinkng on the pillars as well. But if may be too far off center....not sure. But those pillars are huge, may as well use them.

westhillsat 03-20-2006 02:38 AM

I was going for the right/left angle, but Neo brings up a good point.

fourfourto 03-20-2006 09:33 AM

I have it set for foward/ back angle.side to side whould be nice.Maybee velcro mount.
Anyone have a real clinometer that covers all angles.I would like to see one of those mounted.
