Mobile 1 5W-20 in 05 H2????

I have 3 qrts of Mobile 1 5W-20 in my garage that I planned on using in my truck for its next oil change. I have just sold the truck and still have the oil. MY questions is does anyone see a problem using it in my H2 the next time I change the oil.

The owner?s manual calls for 5w30 if I remember correctly.

Use 5w-30. I would not use 5W-20 by itself. You can use it in small amounts, mixed with the 5W-30 if you really want to use it up. Straight 5w-20 may void your engine warranty. It is less viscous, and designed for lower temperatures. Thus in higher temperatures, like in the South, it melts like butter (well, not quite, but you get the point). So it depends where you are. In winter, it should be OK. In summer, do not use it.

Put it into a Ford or Honda, some of these are designed for 5w-20. Not worth screwing around with an H2 to save a few $. Or, give it to your neighbor to put into his Prius, and tell him it is great for summer use....

lol.....yeah give it to a Prius owner :OWNED:

Since it's Mobil 1, I too would mix a quart in with Mobil 1 5W-30 everytime I change my oil. Also, for topping off.
