Anyone experience squeaks and rattles under the hood and behind the dash(probably near the radio), when outside temps cool down? Suggestions/solutions/advice?

Not under hood nor behind dash, but a soft rattle coming from front passenger side. Happens only when I'm driving over bumpy surface. Sounds like something inside the front passenger door is hitting against something. I swung the door from side to side but could not reproduce sound. Could be from rapid up and down movement.

Having the dealer check it out next time I'm due for service.

Once in a while I hear rattling from the center A/C vents or under the dash when I am moving at a crawl.

Also, when I am accelerating hard (above 2400 RPM) I sometimes hear rattling from under the engine. I think there is a service bulletin for this one. I need to check with the dealer the next time I get my rig serviced.

Not sure if this is your problem but you can check or it is good information for all.

Next to the firewall are some long steel tubes that are held in place by plastic connectors. The tube just pops into them. Well if it pops out it will rattle and sound horrible when going over bumps. I took my truck in and they didn't find anything but I found this and now no more issues.

I also had to pop the steel tubing back into some of the connectors. I still had some minor rattling at high RPMs. The same steel tubing was also rubbing against the plastic housing on the firewall that surrounds the A/C tubes. So I bent the steel tubing away from the plastic housing and now all the rattling/vibration has disappeared.
