You know what would suck?

If the brand gets sold to a overseas company. Blasphemy!

Personally I don't care who buys it. As long as I can continue to drive one and see new models come out in the future. Maybe someone else can do better with the brand than GM.

well, its kinda like Jaguar and LandRover being sold to Tata. They are a indian car now! Well not like they probably mostly weren't indian and chinese parts to begin with... but I don't want to support another countries labor anymore than I have too. I'd like to support the guys putting them together here state-side.

What would be worse, Hummer being owned by a foreign company or disappearing completely (serious, not smart-ass question)?

To be honest, no. It may be even improve the quality of Hummers but it would be something different. I'd just as soon see Hummer fade off into the sunset than turn into something different. I think that article that has been referenced on here why we need Hummer now more than ever is right on the money. We all bought H2s because of what they are, not in spite of it.

I just don't see how a company external to GM could buy Hummer and build it and not change it significantly. For cryin' out loud, the majority of parts used in it are straight out of existing GM products, how would a new company deal with that?
