140,000 miles

My 2006 H2 SUT turned 140,000 coming home from Portland, ME last night. In those seven years I've only had one issue that I had to take it back to the dealer for - a new BCM at 3,000 miles under warranty. My H2 has never burned a drop of oil and the only non factory part is my transmission cooler that I put in myself at 62,000 miles. Over the years I've only done routine maintenance to include:
1 Mobil One Synthetic Oil Changes every 5000 miles
2.New OEM BF Goodrich tires at 51,000 and 92,000miles.
3.New brakes at 77,000 miles.
4.Transmission flush and fluid change at 54,000 and 92,000 miles.
5.New radiator hoses and engine belt at 92,000 miles.
6. New Spark Plugs at 92,000.
7. Three windshield replacements from rocks.
8. Replaced the right front headlight last month and both tail lights three years ago.
9. Air cleaner replaced at 54,000 and 92,000 miles.
10. Ignition switch replaced at 125,000 miles.
11. New driver's seat leather at 125,000 miles.
The only parts that ever failed were the BCM and ignition switch. The exhaust system is all original (painted it with silver header paint when I bought it new), the air suspension is still the original. When I bought it, the dealer told me to wash the rear air bags every 6 months, let them dry and then spray them liberally with Armorall. AM General made a great product with the Hummer and the economic times dealt the H2 a bad blow in 2009.

I miss the annual dealer sponsored Hummer outings, but still keep in touch with Bob and Jim on this forum and H2 Guy. Mark sold his H2 and Harry with his two H2s and H13 passed away last fall. Now that they're not being made any more there seems to be less chat which is to be expected. However an entire new generation of younger Hummer owners seems to be energizing this forum again. Being around young people keeps you young! Some day I'm getting out to MOAB!!

PS I've had four batteries and solved my battery drain problem when I disconnected my OnStar three years ago.

It's the 3 "M's"...Maintenance, Maintenance, Maintenance...and it'll run damn-near forever.

My '05 is creeping up on 130,000 now...it never gets washed, but it always gets its maintenance.

...and now, the Fonz.

Congrats! on the mileage and journey w/your Deuce!

I was curious..what good does Armorall have on the rear air shocks? Keeps it from cracking?

I have the rear air bags too..just curious to know any tips to keep them lasting a long time.

CONGRATULATIONS! Preventative maintenance is so important!
I have the original air suspension too and I was told the same thing when I bought it from Lynch Hummer. Keep the air bags clean, hose them off and spray them with a protectant like Armorall to keep them from cracking and splitting. They also said to use the system and raise and lower it at least once every 6 months.
