----------CUSTOM CENTER CAPS----------
Here's a custom little addition for the Hummer center caps.
Items needed: 1- spray paint 2- rubbing alcohol 3- cotton swabs 4- paper towels 5- adhesive romover 6- masking tape 7- news paper 8- scissors Ok here we go!
First take off the center caps (all 5). Then dampen a cotton swab w/ rubbing alcohol and clean out all letters. Mask off around the letters (just mask off the basic outline). Using the newspaper, cut out around lettering so you dont get overspray on the center cap, and tape down. Spray 3 light coats of paint over the lettering at all angles for complete coverage.Remove tape, Let dry for 10-15 minutes. Using a paper towel, lightly dampen with adhesive remover and rub over letters gently to remove any overspray (make sure you don't saturate paper towell, if you do you could very easily get the adhesive remover in the lettering and make a big mess). Yes my H3 is red and yes, what a great match!:D That's it!, pop your center caps on and wha la, CUSTOM CENTER CAPS! |

I like the black bars over all silver.to each his own.:D The marker held up now for 5 or 6 months. I did touch up the wheel caps though, the dealer powerwash them real good.Stayed on just wore down a bit. They didnt power wash the crossbows they still look fine. Watch out jp I beleve a power washer will also mess up the paint on the caps:eek: |

Use the leftover paint on your skidplate.
I did mine in low gloss black heat paint I had around for the 442 |
Re: ----------CUSTOM CENTER CAPS----------
That does look nice! I?ve been thinking about doing that too but couldn?t decide whether to paint the H3 like you or leave it and paint the rest of the skid plate. I guess you decided for me? ;) I?ll just have to be your opposite and leave the H3 alone and paint the rest black. :)
Thanks! :beerchug: |

I used the left over paint on the skidplate like you suggested! :) I'll let it dry for a day or 2 and then try and get some pics with it on my 3. |
