Re: 2005 SUT Chromed out

Yeah it was a package deal that the original owners bought with the vehicle.
So far ive gotten the front windows tinted along with a strip along the windshield. I want to get some different wheels and tires too but dont know what would work well on it without having to lift it.
I eventually want to powder coat all the chrome, do black wheels and the gobi SUT spare tire roof rack as well as the tonneau cover. Gonna take a while.

So, I replaced the passenger side exhaust manifold due to a crack in it. Well, word to the wise. Prepare yourself for the frustration when trying to remove the dipstick tube. It broke in half and then broke off at the block when I tried to remove it. Invest in a torch, PB blast, a bolt extractor, and a bible.

Haha..sorry for your troubles. Like the other guys said, ditch the chrome and start blacking! The yellow color was awesome, you could make this thing nastyyyy!

i had that same issue with my silverado. but it didnt break off in the block...just before. had enough room to still pull it out.

Looks great. Love the yellow and chrome.
Wheels would take it up a notch.
Seems like everyone on this board wants to "Black em Out"
I think they look great with chrome on em.

I agree... I can take a LOT of chrome, even chrome paint the whole car... but there's something about those chrome door stick ons...
