spare tire extender
Anyone have ideas about adding a 35'' inch spare tire to the spare tire rack , the 35's will not fit because the area is only big enough for the conventional spare- is there an extender that can be utilized...Thanx BB

It will not fit? I have seen 30" rims on the rear tire carrier. (not sure about the inner one) |
Re: spare tire extender
billyb, there's not a really big H3 presence on this forum any longer. You may wanna poke around over at clubhummeroffroad.com. LOTS of H3s and Ts over there...all running larger than stock rubber.
I guarantee that you'll find a solution over there...great guys. |
Re: spare tire extender
The word from the H3 fellas at clubhummeroffroad is that 35s on stock rims fit on the carrier just fine.

Re: spare tire extender
35s will fit on stock 16" rims. I have my 35" spare tire at the back since 2005.

Re: spare tire extender
I've heard the rear mount was changed after 2006 and now only an <06 will fit. I've got an 08 and haven't tried, but I do have 06 spare mount off my old one just in case when I switch to 35s this summer it doesn't fit. Over 90k on my original set of tires in 7 years..... Not too bad for the old 33 stockers aye?

We got 83,000 out of our original 33s!
