Why H3?

:) I don't want to piss anyone off, but I'm curious why those out there like the H3, I mean its not that bad looking, but no way can it compare itself to a H1 or H2.

So, without coming across as an azz.

Why did you buy an H3?

Does the Horsepower really do suck??

What the "bleep" none of you H3 owners are man enough to tell me why you bought your H3??

All any of you have said is........"F-off", "Huh", and Move along.....

So, let me guess this right....

I know you can't afford a H1, you don't like the size, gas or ego of a H2. So, you buy a H3, put big azz tires on it and what? Scary.....??

You know I just was curious, but...........Never mind, I'll go back to the H2 forum...

Couldn't afford a H1, but if I had the money tomorrow, I'd sell my H2 for a H1.....I have like them since 1997.

Dont worry bout them. Just immature idiots that talk sh*t on the internet for entertainment. Well to answer your question: My reason was because I really like the Hummer styling but I live downtown in Houston where parking is verryy small and I need and Suv i can easily park in and 4 wheel drive for taking my bikes out to the track. I was looking at the H2s but I just wasn't a fan of having the largest rig on the planet. To tell you the truth they are actually quite comparable. Both have their advantages and disadvantages. Now the H1 is a different story.

I'm in the same boat buddy.

But even if I couldn't afford an H2, I'd sures hell wouldn't buy an H3. Not only is it gutless and low grade but it's evident the majority of the owners are insecure wannabes. And the their women look like blocks of wood.

WTF?! Lemme guess: all the little "gansta" wannabe's finally ran out of crap to bling on their H2s, and now they're bored so they come over to our side of the pond to take a dump?

Hey, Jerkoffs, go show how f'in manly you are in your own damn forums... or better yet, make yourselves useful and troll on the FUH2.com site

Re: Why H3?

Well, let me put it this way. Design style, handling, parking ability, looks and price. I personally do not like the H1 or the H2. because they are too military want-to-be. I have enough with the Viet-Nam want-to-be. I was a Viet-Nam vet before it became popular.
When I got my H3. I went from a Ford Heritage F-150 to something with 4 doors, same gas milage as the Ford, shorter turning radius and better handling.
Most important of all - my wife loves it. Nuf said.
Semper Fi...

Re: Why H3?

I bought an H3 because I was ready to replace my daily driver and wanted something different than a run of the mill SUV. I could have afforded an H2 or even an H1 but neither would have been practical for me as a dd.

I am extremely impressed with it's off-road capabilities and on-road ride and comfort. That being said, IMHO it is underpowered when it comes to maintaining high speed particularly in hilly or mountain driving. I like to drive 80-85 mph on open interstates and it does struggle at times. I definitely would not feel comfortable with towing any significant amount of weight on a regular basis as I believe the wear and tear on the engine/transmission would be too great. Occasional weekend jaunts with the 4 wheelers in tow do not bother me.

I'm sure the majority of H3 owners here even if they won't admit it, feel that GM should have offered an engine upgrade.

Even with it's shortcomings, the good far outweighs the bad and I love my H3!

Cheers,
Jim

It doesn't mean that because one has an H3 that one can't afford a H1 or an H2... You shouldn't base what one drives on their income status. It's all how your spending habits/debt are and what is practical for one. I for one like the H2 and yes, I am fortunate enough to be able to have one if I so desired. The H2 is just too big of a vehicle for my wife to drive AND it wouldn't fit in my garage. Therefore I choose not to own one, so I bought the H3 because it IS a Hummer that fits my family's needs. BE HAPPY, WE ARE AMERICAN...WE BUY AMERICAN!! Think about that and with respect, take the 'tude elsewhere.
