H1- ctis problem

Hi- my ctis does nothing, checked at hummer dealership -they say it worked there- but my rear tires are both brand new- loosing air about 5 lbs every 2-3 weeks, they will not blow themselves up when i push the button to inflate--is there a trick to doing it? I have the engine running, and press the ctis button to inflate-rear, i also tried inflate front and all, nothing, thanks

Re: H1- ctis problem

Are you saying that the compressor will not come on? If not check the fuse. The fuse is located near the front of the CTIS manifold (where the valves are) it is covered with a grey plastic cover to protect it. The fuse itself is very large and rated for something like 40 amps. If the fuse is good then its time to make sure the compressor has power going to it, if the compressor is good then check for power at the switch. One of the previous should fix your problem.

Re: H1- ctis problem

There are two buttons just bellow and to the right of the steering wheel.
the one furthest away from steering wheel has front above and rear bellow. this selects the tires to be inflated it has three possitions center possition inflates all tires. the putton nearest the steering wheel opperates the inflate compressor or the deflate valve. press up possition for compressor or down possition for deflate. some times I,ve had problem with the valves being frozzen due to severe cold. this usually fixes it's self after the Hummers been running for a while.

Hope this is of some help

The fuse is in the third pic. It is all the way left in the picture, a grey plastic piece.
