I want to so bad...

....post this dick's phone numbers on YouTube except I have to sign in. Don't watch if you love dogs and don't worry, I didn't watch but I know what he did. I have his home number, cell and work number but you have to sign in to post and that might get ME in trouble. I did call his number just now at 2 am but no one answered. Weird. Maybe he doesn't answer after the publicity.

I feel like I need to pass this along. Many of you have probably
already heard about this situation. This man let his dogs play in a big
open field. A friend of the owner of the field walks up and shoots the
huskys many many times despite the fact they were hurting noone and the
owner was begging for him to stop. I suggest you all watch the video
and contact local police to take action. Trespassing or not..those dogs
did not deserve this.

watch it for yourself. Shooter's name is Christopher Comins. His cell
407-948-6521 work 407-859-3954 (he owns the company) and home 407-381-
9047
He was not arrested. He told the police the dogs were trying to attack
him (which was an obvious untruth). He continued to shoot them even
after they were down. They both took many many bullets.

Re: I want to so bad...

He was not arrested. That says a lot.

I saw the video and being an animal lover it was gut wrenching to see the dogs being shot down like that.

BUT, it does not give the full story of why.

Maybe the owner asked or told the owner to get the dogs off his property.Maybe the dogs were terrorizing the land owner's animals. Knowing from experience, it is possible the dog owner at the time was probably cocky and brazen to the friend of the land owner because he had 2 big dogs with him to intimidate the man and only became sheepish and tearfully coward afterwards when the land owner had ENOUGH.

Facts we don't know just by watching the video. I'm sure the police were in a position to know the whole story. THE MAN WAS NOT ARRESTED. There must have been more to it than a sensless killing.

This whole thing could have been because the dog owner was an intimidating prick and never in his wildest dreams would he expect the man to follow through. Maybe the dog owner should have been shot too.

I'm seen too many death by maulings and attacks on children, women and other animals by unleashed dogs and prick owners on the news to get caught up in the emotional propaganda you watch on videos such as this.

Sad, very sad, but the fact that the police did not lay charges is good enough for me to realize there was more to it than what the video suggests.

OK, I wasn't going to watch the video and started to form an opinion based on what you two said, but curiosity got this cat and I watched it. Terrible.

Then I did some followup. Terrible to watch, but...

Bits and pieces from sources you should read:
Quote:

Last week, deputy sheriffs concluded that Orlando businessman Christopher Comins acted legally after developer Daryl Carter asked him to kill dogs chasing cattle on Carter-owned land on Narcoossee Road.
Both dogs survived, despite four bullets hitting Raley and three bullets hitting Hoochie, who lost an eye.

Florida property owners have the right to protect livestock from wild dogs and unleashed pets.

The shooting stopped after the dogs' owner, Christopher Butler, jumped a fence and ran to his wounded pets.

(Comins) said he thought the dogs were wolves, as did others among the bystanders watching the scene along Narcoossee Road, according to interviews Friday. In a three-way telephone conversation with his lawyer, Comins told the Orlando Sentinel what he told deputies last week, that he shot the dogs when they turned and began to run toward him.

"I'm not happy about any of what's happened and certainly wish that none of this ever happened. And had the man had control of his animals and not let them run free, they would never have encircled those cows and tried to get at those calves," Comins said.
"I've been a dog owner all my life, and I own several right now. I wouldn't harm anything without reason."

One of the witnesses reached Friday said Comins stepped in after bystanders at the edge of the pasture waited more than two hours for someone to rescue a newborn calf the dogs were trying to reach inside a circle of larger cows.
"I've had to shoot cattle, unfortunately, after they've been attacked like that by dogs," said Dave Tindall of Orlando. "What happened had to end the way it did. It had to be done for a defenseless animal that had no way of escaping those dogs. If night had fallen, they wouldn't have gone home hungry."
Now my opinion is (Sorry Karsun and I know I'll catch crap from the wife too):

It's tragic the dogs were shot because their owner couldn't maintain control of them.

Comins should be embarrassed by his poor marksmanship.

The law allowed what happened.

And this for the Irish tourist who video taped it: Welcome to America. We got guns.

But that is great news that the dogs survived. We should send DRTY to kill the dog owner.

It's the sound of the dogs crying out that hurts me. Can't really make heads or tails from the poor video quality. And that woman's voice is irritating.

Well, maybe I'll give it a go with the sound off.

"Well there ya go. That's fooking America for ya. Guns." - vidiographer woman's commentary.

1) People shouldn't shoot dogs.
2) Dog owners should control their pets.

Thanks for the research. :) Seriously. I'd rather know the whole story than form my opinion like I did, from bits and pieces. I appreciate it.

:iagree:

A dog can chase anything it likes in its own domain, outside of that it is the owners fault. The idiot dog owner obviously didn't know that his dogs were performing pack manuevers. Dumbass.
