2008 H2 VIBRATION IN FRONT AXLE

My 08' has developed a vibration / growl somewhere in the front driveline. It happens from 50 to 70 MPH (and above) when on the throttle and when letting off the throttle. It is more apparent when coasting, say at speed then letting off the gas. I know it's not in the tires, probably not the CV's, and happens when in both 4x4 modes. could this be in the transmission or transfer case. called dealer and they said never heard of this issue. Any ideas or similiar experiences?

Just from what I know theres a couple things to try. number one is to pull your skid plates. if the vibration is from them you will know right away. secondly the rear mount of the diff is right on the crossmember the plates mount to. see to it that its tight and not grounded out on the crossmember. the worst thing is that oil filters dump on the mount and oil will break down the rubber. also look at the flanges on the halfshafts. make sure all the bolts are in.

Take it to the dealer and tell them to worry about it. Try to get another hummer (used prob) for a loaner if you dont have other cars.
