It was supposed to debut LAST year in Detroit. Then it was supposed to debut in NYC. I'll believe it when I see it.

Understood.
Yeah...It's kind of hard NOT to be jaded when it comes to H4 related news. |
Re: The cat is out of the bag...HX/H4 prototype headed for Detroit
The difference this year is that GM is announcing it...not some "insider"...

The blue one seems to match up pretty well with the descriptions. I hope that's pretty close to what it will look like in production. Looks sweet!! :clapping: :clapping:

I'm just happy to see some kind of movement on this thing.
Both the blue and the red have my vote.... Can't wait to see the specs. :jump: |

Could be the sweetest looking Hummer ever to come out.
But protos always look better than the actual production. |

:iagree: I'm sure it'll be worth the wait!... :fdance:

The slant back looks cool but really limits your cargo room.

That red one looks really nice...

Re: The cat is out of the bag...HX/H4 prototype headed for Detroit
Ahhh I knew a slantback was in the cards.

Most H2 owners will probably upgrade to the H4 anyways. The H3 will never be good enough for my garage. :D :giggling: |

Re: The cat is out of the bag...HX/H4 prototype headed for Detroit
Hyundai has greatly improved too but I won't be going out to buy one.
The H3 in all honesty is a downgraded version of the H2.FACT. It tries to look like the H2 but weaker in quality and ability. A main reason it's called an entry level Hummer for the masses. And even the Alpha has a difficult time keeping up with the H2 as we've seen in many write ups and member experiences. Most likely this is not what you want to hear and I expect you to get enraged and try really hard to convince me. It's been tried by many so don't bother. If the HX is anything close to the protos, like the H2, I'll put down a deposit 6 months before it's even released. |
Re: The cat is out of the bag...HX/H4 prototype headed for Detroit
The H2 was developed for people who love the H1 but wanted luxury and comfort without sacrificing it's ability. They are both made in the same assembly plant by AM General.
The H3 is and always has been GM's intention, a cheap, small, weaker version of the H2 for those who don't want or can't spend a lot of money but can drive around to show people they have a Hummer. It's all marketing for the H3. The affordable Hummer for the masses. Now this being stated as fact, parts, luxury, quality and ability will be at par with similar vehicles on the market like FJ's, RAV4s, Pathfinders and so on. The H3 is not manufactured by AM General like the H1 and H2, but at a GM assembly plant. To argue about this is as silly as arguing the Cavalier is just as good as the Corvette because they're both Chevy's. |
