Passlock issues (help)

Hey all,
As the title says I am having an issue with my passlock. Ever since my alternator went out about 2 months ago I have been having this issue where the passlock indicator lights up dimly intermittently or flickers dimly. Most of the time it goes out or stays out but it does come on but only dimly. Nothing I do can make the passlock light come on or go off. I dont know if the truck is actually trying to shut off or not or if it is doing anything. There are no codes. Remember it is only dimly lit, never fully light unless at start up.
I want to find out if there is a way to disable the passlock. I found one way on the internet but it doesnt say it apply exactly to our rigs.

I would like some help with this
Thanks

Re: Passlock issues (help)

If you cut the signal wire(yellow) and then bare a section of the low ref wire(black/orange) turn the key on and measure resistance from yellow wire on passlock sensor side to bared section of low ref. Get a resistor that matches that value and install it from the bared section on the low ref circuit to the bcm side of the signal circuit. Passlock is now bypassed. If its not a perfect match for the value you can do a 30 minute relearn without any scan tools.
Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.
 2. Attempt to start the engine, then release the key to ON, vehicle will not start.
 3. Observe the SECURITY telltale, after approximately 10 minutes the telltale will turn OFF.
 4. Turn OFF the ignition, and wait 5 seconds.
 5. Repeat steps 1 through 4 two more times for a total of 3 cycles/30 minutes, the vehicle is now ready to relearn the Passlock? Sensor Data Code and/or passwords on the next ignition switch transition from OFF to CRANK.
Important: The vehicle learns the Passlock? Sensor Data Code and/or password on the next ignition switch transition from OFF to CRANK. You must turn the ignition OFF before attempting to start the vehicle.

 6. Start the engine. The vehicle has now learned the Passlock? Sensor Data Code and/or password.
 7. With a scan tool, clear any DTCs if needed. History DTCs will self clear after 100 ignition cycles.

Re: Passlock issues (help)

sounds like you have a problem in cluster though, not an actual security issue

Can this method be used to learn new keys? Also will this clear the fobs?

Re: Passlock issues (help)

Wont clear fobs, keys don't need to be programmed on a 2003 h2.

2005 does not require programming either. Not till 08 model year
