Question on Steering wheel radio controls
Hi All,
I have an Avic Z2 that replaced the OEM radio. I used a PAC-Audio swi-ps interface to the remote jack to connect the steering wheel controls - and it has worked fine for years. For some reason, I lost the "program down" switch. I've reprogrammed the swi-ps, and also replaced the switch - neither made any difference. I programmed the "source" switch as program down for now, and that works. I've posed the question to PAC-Audio, but I figured I'd ask if anyone has had a problem with one the steering wheel control buttons not working. Thanks Dave |
Re: Question on Steering wheel radio controls
im in the same boat, but for me its the track advance buttons...both up and down....but it only does it randomly...if i turn the radio on and off it will sometimes work and sometimes not......looks like i will just have to use the touchscreen instead to change songs.....I have the Kenwood

Re: Question on Steering wheel radio controls
next place i'd start looking is the path the wires run through the steering column. I've had a number of issues in past years w/ gm tilt columns either pinching a wire or wearing out a contact- killing some or all steering wheel functions.
