66 Chevy C10 Pick Up

I found a 66 Chevy C10 pick up that is an fair-good shape and I am thinking about snagging it and doing my first "project truck". By chance anyone ever have one? General opinions on restoring an older vehilce? I have NO experiance doing this, just always wanted to give it a shot. It seems as though parts are easy to obtain.

Thanks!

Don't destroy a classic unless its a piece of junk. Man, a 41 year old truck would make a wonderful restroration project. Purchase it and join your local AACA club. These people would love to help you spend your money bringing it back to original.

Find something newer to modify...

Nice start. I've owned a 63 (stock beater) and a 68 (restored). Be advised it's very expensive to do a complete 'original' restoration, you can aftermarket a lot, but original parts are a beetch to find (68-72 are easy, earlier than that and it gets hard). I love the dark green - those are the best!

Good luck, and don't just post before/after, post progress shots too!!!
