Wiring up LED light help

Is there a write up anywhere on how to wire up LEDs to specific functions?

I am looking to wire in some LEDs to the back area and would like them to turn on when I back up, but I also want them to be able to be turned on if I flip a switch (ie. in park, flip switch and back LEDs turn on)

I am also looking to wire in some LEDs to my front and would like to have a couple that work when pulling the stalk back for the high beams.

I am sure there is someone that know schematics that has or would draw them up, but please dont include that. Though I can sort read a schematic, I am not really an expert and would hate to sit there figuring it out. I know that sounds like a butthead comment, but I have a feeling it will not help since I already know the basics of what needs to be done, just wondering if anyone has any write ups

Thanks

Re: Wiring up LED light help

The easiest way to go about that is using relays for the lights. Even though LED's don't pull much voltage/amps I would feel better myself using relays. That way the signal wire for the rear (reverse lights) would be simply that, a signal wire to close the relay. That would hold true for the front using a signal wire off the highs.

That would not be difficult by any means. Adding a switch shouldn't be a problem either. You would have an accessory and ground powering the switch, the signal wire from the switch would go to the same relay to close the relay when the switch is activated. Basically you'd have 2 signal wires going to the relay as opposed to just one.

Hopefully that isn't too confusing. I could make a drawing but believe me you'd be better off without me drawing something
