Ok this is gonna sound like I am beeing a dick. But I'm not trying to. If you are asking how to change spark plugs my best answer to you is to pay someone to do it.

right I know how to change spark plugs.I guess my question is has anyone changed theres and how did they get to them? do you have to remove the whole intake and it appears there is a plastic cover and alot of things that need removed to gain access. I just dont want to break anything no its not running bad I just figured I would put in a new set of good plugs

I've got 55000 miles and running good now with new head. Never looked at how to get to the plugs til now. I see what you mean. Maybe call a dealer and talk with a service tech?

What plugs are you putting in?

Sounds like you already know how its done...

Not too many folks have done it since the originals are rated for 100k miles:popcorn:

Here is a link from the Coly/Canyon forum... A guy with a I 5 documented this...

For those of you that think you know how to change the plugs, take off the plastic cover and give it a go. Then you will see why he is asking.

Remove plastic intake plenum.
Remove coils.
remove plugs.
repeat in reverse order

Re: HOW DO I CHANGE MY SPARK PLUGS 06 H3?

After looking under the hood I'm paying to have it done. Guess I'm just getting old...

Firestone says its gonna cost $14 per plug + labor, about $140 total to tune up my 2006 H3.
The coil is going to run $150 + $48 labor, so it's gonna cost me about $350.00 altogether.
There may be an upcharge if the plenum has a gasket. He says if there's one there it has to be replaced. Is there one there?

I'm at 71K mileage now and my Check Engine light is coding out as a #2 cylinder misfire.

*But to feel like I'm sticking it back to them I'll tell them to do an alignment and tire rotation both for no additional charge since I have the lifetime alignment/tire rotation deal for buying Dueler II Revos.

:o)

Anyone know how much it costs to do this same job at the dealer?

Change them...just take off the "plastic stuff" and change each plug one by one. You will need an extension for your ratchet. I did it and it was simple. Also, trust me when I say they are not good till the 100K mark...changed mine at 75K and upon inspecting the plugs as I removed them I would say it was almost past time to do so.

Good luck.

OK, so I am at 65,000 miles she seems to running a little rough.
I'll change mine.

So next question that has not come up - What new plugs are we putting in?
The Walmart on sale plugs or the high cost NAPA plugs?
I realize I could do a search for 'plugs', but beat I would get 20 posts with 20 varying answers.
