Noise under H2
 

I am a senior citizen and have a H2 Hummer. Lately I have heard a rattling noise under the vehicle at low revs when I start the H2. The automatic trans has stopped working and I have to change manually from 1st to 2nd-will not go into other gears. Could these 2 problems be connected and has anybody suggestions how to fix the problems?
