Anyone ever done the 2" Alpha lift on an '04?

Just wondering if anyone here has done the 2" body lift that the Alpha has on an '04, and just how hard it is to do. Other than fender well clearance is there any advantage to it other than looks? Are there a bunch of logistical nightmares that one would run into to do it right? I'm not the kind of guy to put a ton of lift on a vehicle and then huge wheels. I think the H1 looks best bone stock and I love to go off road, so I am of the mindset that if it isn't functional I probably don't need it.

Please let me know your thoughts!

Thanks!

body lift is easy.... escpecially with a "newer" truck where the bolts shouldn't have any issues coming off... the only things that you have to do is cut a notch in your steering shaft hole (going through the body) and also re-adjust your shifter linkage for the change in position of the shifter.... the air lift hooks will disapear under the hood when you do it....

Travis sells a good kit to do this but his kit also has issues around the fuel tank mounts as the front mount wants to run into the driveshaft which you will need to shave it down to almost nothing to get it to clear there.... Best thing to do is to just take the current straps and then elongate them rather then getting a new "bottom" portion....

Phazer,
The RubberDuck 4x4 Body Lift was redesigned about a year ago to include 4 new upper Fuel Tank Straps. This lowers the connection joint between the upper and lower strap well below the driveshaft thus eliminating the previous problem you described. It take a bit more time to install the kit but I feel that it is worth the extra time.
