my h2 came with the inside tire mount. i bought a stock used rear tire carrier, how do you get power to the license plate light? is it simple? (i hope) i haven't yet received my carrier so i don't have it to look at.

What year is your truck?

its an '03

Look for the brown wire for your park lights underneath the rear bumper. It's in one of 4 connectors bunched together, should be on the pass side of the bunch. Use a weather tight connector(not a scotch lock). Ground side to any metal clean surface.
The bolt holes for the carrier won't exactly line up on a 2003 truck--be careful when you're drilling so you don't hit any harnesses behind the bumper.
