I've posted on the AZHOG web site a method to attach a Hi-Lift jack onto a SMA spare tire carrier using square U-Bolts.

I'd like to find out if anyone with both a 48 or 60" Hi-Lift and a SMA tire carrier could try this out. The H1 and H2 carriers from SMA seem to use identical square tubing (from what I've seen in person), so using this method for both trucks should be valid.

I wasn't too worried about the rattling. I was worried about the fact that the weight of our trucks, combined with the tiny cotter pin, results in a bad combination of the base possibly coming loose.

Different setups, but I've used those blocks of rubber from pickup tie down clamps to standoff the jack from the body. Just use extra long bolts , drop a rubber block over it and it works well.

A small bungee wrapped around the base also helps stop it rattling. </div></BLOCKQUOTE>
