I must confess... I know nothing about engines...
![]() Lately, my engine is acting up. RPM goes nuts around 1500RPM. The RPM meter goes up and down and of course the engine goes nuts as well. It seems to happen around 40-55 mph which is what I normally do on local roads. Does this mean that I have a transmission problem? Perhaps Please help out a mechanically challenged person... thanks in advance. |

Watch the rpm when pulling away, does it go higher than usual? Look at the tranny temp, see how hot it is getting and pull the tranny dipstick, it should be clear and red, if it is cloudy or brown the ATF is burnt.
