I recently bought a log cabin with 80+ arces. I had a chance to head up there for the last 12 days and went bowhunting. I shot this 7 pointer (first deer taken on the land since I bought the place.) and put him on the back of the 4-wheeler trailer. Set his head so that it would stick out the back. Then hook-up the new H2 and drove into town to get the deer process. It was fun. I couldn't tell if the kids were staring at the buck or the H2!!

After I got home I was able to check the digital camera I had up there. Go figure. 3 super nice bucks on it. Walk right by that spot a few times. Can't wait to get back out.

A few years ago my Dad shot this 700 lb Moose in Vermont. Don't ask how he got it on the roof!

rodster 10-27-2005 08:10 PM

People eat moose? News to me ...

VTSTOMPER 10-27-2005 11:30 PM

Damn NJ Hunters coming to my mountains and killing MY moose! LOL! Where in VT NJ?

rodster,
many people eat moose around this area...I have had it - not that bad. I like whitetail/mule deer/elk a bit better. None of these you can really order off a menu around here though.

nice one, heres one I shot @ 12,000 ft in Mt. wheeler near Ely, Nevada with the H2 going the distance

Another Vegas H2 . . . hello neighbor.

I was in Ely with a group of H2s the weekend after you took that picture. There were so many hunters up there then I don't think the critters had a chance!

rodster 10-28-2005 12:25 AM

Oops. Wrong month. We were there Sept 30 - Oct 1.

Many people around here (Maine hot spot) die from Moose vs auto every year.

check this link out! (google result) It is like hitting a horse!

Unreal, VT. Those animals are huge!

We have elk and deer to contend with once you get up into central and northern NV. Wild burros are pretty common in the south.

In the city we have drunken tourists.

Here is a picture of 2 deer caught on my digital scouting camera just a few weeks ago.. I think the 2 deer were having a discussion about that cool new H2 in neighborhood.

VTSTOMPER 10-28-2005 12:03 PM

We have many that look like that in VT...they are stuffed and work for the dept of fish & game. It's tail wags and the head moves back and forth.

People shoot it at night, and then the blue lights come on!
