I just bought an 04 H2 and want to add the XM modulator, wrap around brush guard, tail lamp guards, & locking fuel door. I bought everything except the XM modulator online (I didn't know which one to get and where) and my Hummer dealership will install everything for about 2-3 times the cost of what another car accessories store.

Is it worth the extra cost letting the Hummer dealership do it or can any installer do just as good with an H2. Also, they are charging me $595 for the XM modulator with installation. That seems pretty steep. Am I getting ripped on that?

Any info and/or suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Chris,

What XM equipment is your dealer planning to install in your truck? The GM XM parts list for around $330, whereas aftermarket cost is much less.

Klaus,

It is the GM part that the dealers are installing. Is there anywhere I can get it over the internet for cheaper? Thanks,

Chris

You are looking for GM part number 12498768. Send "partsguy" a PM and see what he can do for you.
