Why are these dual filament bulbs and when is one used over the other?

It's a GM thing....not well thought out!

They just used what was simple, the other filamemt is just for looks! :-)

I replaced my fixtures with an 03 Lincoln Navigator fog light to have nice bright lights at night, and not those wimpy, waste of space, DRL's. Who needs DRL's on a HUMMER...like people can't see you coming?

They probably just used an overstocked/available bulb!

ric,
did the navigator lights mount up and plug in directly? or did you have to make modifications.
