Hey guys, I looked around for handles that were not overprices lide the once from HUMMER and some of the other aftermarket companies.

I found a few billet ones that look decent. Let me know what you think....They are interior handles, but since they are billet, I don't see a problem with them being exposed to the elements.....

That price looks to be per handle. Still pretty pricey. Any idea how long they are? If they are interior grab handles they may be kind of small...

Good catch. I didn't even think of that....duh, I need two. They seem to be good size though. I also found some cheap black ones made for boats......

The black look pretty nice, and at a great price. Beats the $160 I spent on fleabay.

CzechMan 01-05-2006 03:48 PM

That's what I thought too. They are plastic, but its not like you ever grab onto them anyways :-)

Come one guys!! you have a 35k-40k truck... can't you spend 150 bucks for a decent pair of hood handles?!

PLEASE DON'T PUT THAT HOME DEPOT CRAP IN YOUR HOOD, YOU WILL RUIN IT!!!

These are the ones that I got for mine:

A closer look...

FAIR ENOUGH! NO NEED FOR SO MUCH SARCASM

I agree the billet once are awesome, but seeing some of the plastic crap out there "original" for the H2 and even some of the ugly as hell stick on chrome right from the dealers, using some non-H3 gear could get you better quality stuff for cheaper....that's why its worth looking at.

As many have said on this board, there is a lot of expensive cheap made crap out there.....for H3 and the H2....

Hey...I over-research anything I buy...chalk it up to being little obscessive compulsive.....but hey, I bought a HUMMER and not an ugly ass vehicular uniform like the Highlander, Explorer or all the other 30k "SUVs".

I bought these ones from ebay. Paid $162 with shipping. They are billet also, and come in 3 different "styles". I am extremely happy with them, but to each their own.
If anybody can find what they believe to be a good deal, and are satisfied with their purchase, well then congratualations.

I bought these from G-Stlye and had to have 3/4" machined off the bottom because there was some excessive "howling" when driving on the highway. I like this look better anyway. Without the machining the handles looked to high. I also installed them backwards to give them a contoured look relative to the hood.

DTHVLY 01-09-2006 03:51 PM

Do these handles serve a functional purpose or are they just for looks.

humdoug 01-09-2006 04:07 PM

Function - no! looks - yes! Also, one more thing to wipe off.

DTHVLY 01-09-2006 04:17 PM

They do add some looks to the hood but $150 for nonfunctional OEM handles is pretty steep. Yours look good.

humdoug 01-09-2006 10:40 PM

I do like the handles and the look they present. I started to look into the entire chrome hood billet with handles but they were over $450.00.
