Would save tons of time and hassle. If I remember right, the antenna coax is right behind the glove box.

Actually have it installed on mine... I'll try to get some pics up tonight. If you decide on this option though, be warned apparently their are two types of antennae plugs. Harmon Kardon uses the larger one, the stock hummer deck uses the smaller one, so you'll need an adapter.

How do you like it? I'm seriously thinking about this option since I have recently turned into an iPod junkie (got my office to pop for a 60GB iPod video that I use as a hard drive for my overloaded laptop )

I like it fine... its a life saver on a roadtrip. XM is great and all, but its nice to have access books and podcasts. I actually have the drive and play set up with the FM modulator... like I mentioned before, you have to have that antennae adaptor... since I didn't at the time I simply cut the fat plug off the end and spliced it to my antennae cable. Don't know how recommended that was but it works okay. Not great because here in the DC area, there is a station on just about every damn frequency... so under the Washington Memorial I do get a little background static, but by the time I'm out of DC the signal is crystal clear. I'll probably take it in to a pro shop and have them fix that eventually. But it has been functional for me... like I said, I'd go with the whole system, not just the modulator as you can change the frequency being transmitted nearly instantly to any fm frequency... That thing is going to be too buried to get to if you ever get into a different area and need to change the frequency... just my two cents... won't have time to post the pics until this weekend. I just picked up a Canon S2 and don't know a damn about how to operate it...

Actually going back and looking at the link you posted... that is only for the fm modulator... it will not work without the rest of the drive and play system. So you can tack on another couple hundred bucks to it... but if an ipod is a must have... this will be too.

I also have the HK Drive + Play, but I would recommend using a direct connect to the stereo. Soundgate makes and great little aux input called the AUXGMV3. The sound is much, much better than any FM modulator IMO.

I highly recommend the HK Drive + Play unit. It is very easy to use and works perfectly. You can find them on eBay for about $170

do you use the AUXGMV3 in coordination with the HK system? It looks like it uses the XM feed? Are you also using the AUX3, UII, or PIE 3.5-RCA6mm interface? Seriously thinking this maybe the ticket to my interference problems. How do you get it to the IPOD... does it use a radio station or the XM2 on the band button?

I use only the AUXGMV3 and the HK system. No other interface is needed unless you want more than the 1 aux input. It's a little strange, but all I have to do is go to XM1 or XM2 band then press the track up button 3 times and the track down button 1 time. It then switches to the aux input. You get used to it after a while. It works a little different depending on your stereo. I have the 6-disc unit and XM. If you don't have XM, I think you just need to switch to the XM band.
The setup works perfectly and the sound is awesome. Hope this helps.

Yeah thats the same system in mine... that is odd firing it up initially. I'm thinking of disconnecting the radio antennae alltogether as I never listen to free radio anymore... having to listen to commercials offends me. I'll give this some thought and go from there... thanks.
