Can anyone tell me the advantages/disadvantages of re-programing my H2. From what I understand, this will adjust the shift points. Will this help at all with acceleration from a standstill? What effects will this have on gas mileage? Will it effect waranty? Sorry for all the questions. Thanks.

There's a button you can push that's better than Superchip...
Tow/Haul Supercharge. ![]() |
Thanks co-pilot. That had a lot of information. I still want to find out if it will have any effect on warranty and acceleration.
Dennis, I saw that in a post of yours a while back and tried it. Pretty cool how the gears wind out. I was hoping that a superchip would give even more performance. |
Frank, I have programmed by '04 H2 with superchips about a year ago. not a problem with the vehicle or the local distributor as far as the warranty is concerned. It does adjust the shifting points, but if your looking for an acceleration from standstill, try a throttle body extension, with an air in take system (i have an Air-force one on mine) but try to go for a cold air intake such as Volant. Additionaly, the Superchips, can remove the speed limiter on the H2. I have had my H2 at 210 KPH (125-130 MPH)
