Here is the Adventure Team H2 with the new 4" lift, 37's and GOBI rack. We slapped a little chrome here and there.

This truck will never see the inside of a garage!

looks great. How about a side photo and a back photo.

Any difference in ride quality? Does it track straight? I am very close to putting the Rancho lift on my H2, but I would like some feedback from someone with this lift kit.

Any information would be appreciated.

Kirk,

I am very pleased with it. The alignment is fine, tracking fine.

It is a different vehicle with a 4" lift. You thought people noticed you before, wait till you can look down on the rooftops of suburbans!

With my rack, it adds another 18" or so of overall height!

I'll post a few more photos as well...

HummerTeam 09-05-2003 02:46 PM

Albie,

Yep, I really liked the MC2 vents. Looks cool with just the forward facing holes.

How come your front plates are reversed? The GOBI and HUMMER logo is normal?

Its a Rancho 4-5 inch kit.

HummerTeam 09-30-2003 04:25 PM

David,

I was just playing in photoshop.... Instead of blurring out the plate, I just kinda reversed it and changed some numbers. Too much time on my hand that day, I guess. Good eye!

It is a Rancho 4"

Hows the ride with the new lift?
I'm considering getting a 6 inch Skyjacker lift, but I don't want to lose the smooth ride.

Trav...how much more nervous are you when you hit the side-slopes???

Detonate 10-27-2003 08:59 PM

I can't speak for Travis, but he did the 40% grade slopes at the Hummer Happening no problem. AND he has that heavy ass tire on the roof.

I'd love to put a 2" lift on....just that I'm concerned that I'll pay the price come side-slope time.

It's not like you can just flip these things back up and be fine.....

Does a lift gain you ground clearance (not like you don't have enough)?

What does the kit include? How does it work with IFS/IRS?

Are you running larger tires with the lift?

Where do you store the ladder to climb into that thing?

unaslob 11-03-2003 12:00 AM

what is it costing to put a lift on these days.... not the lift kit.. the cost for someone to install it... that is what I am intersted in. thanks... UNA!!!

that thing?

No a suspesion lift does not give you more ground clearance. What it does is give you more room to add a taller/bigger tire and thats where you get the ground clearance from.
The basic geometry remains the same whether it be a 2,4 or6" kit.
Tires no longer rub and flex and droop are increased in many cases.

It runs from about $750 and up and that depends on how complex the kit is & vehicle/ its going on. I think a call to your local shop or place you would get it from would be the logical answer to get the exact cost for you. Many/ most places will not install a kit unless you purchase it from them also.
