the chopper kinda says "I am the $hit" huh?

Looks like a tight landing....

Orbital H2 12-11-2005 03:40 PM

I cnt believe that they land it in that space, the landig pad must extend out. Some body has some major $$$.
usually don't see these sort of rigs around here, these guys usually stay in the warmer waters of the south pacific, Mediterainina or the Carrib.

I bet there a bunch of places to poop on that thing.

That's the "Attessa." It's owned by some guy from Montana, I think. It was called something else before it burned basically everything except the bulkheads. The Montana guy had it redone in Vancouver and he sails it in the Pacific mostly.

What is the registry on it, I didn’t recognize the flag, It looks like some British colony, maybe a Caribbean Island or something in the south pacific?

Orbital H2 12-12-2005 10:53 PM

I don't know the registry. I just remembered reading something about it.

I googled up some more pics:

BTW, the helo does indeed take off/land from there. The pad doesn't move. The railings drop down to the horizontal so as not to hook a skid.

I've been researching:

It was the Aviva but caught on fire and the crew saved the boat and themselves. That guy in Montana bought it and refit it etc.

Before:

After, still in it's new shed:
