I need the clip behind the screw that holds the taillight .I broke it when installing guards.
It doesnt seem to show up on dealers diagram ? they got one in but is wrong ? They said bring your H3 in ? I said there one right there ? he removed the screw and saw the clip .He said call him tommorow.I did mention he should ask a service teck. The service guy at counter was just as confused.

I dont get it you would think it was a simple thing.
Anyway anyone have the part # of the clip there probobly cheap I would like to get 4 to have a couple extras.

I have the diagram they used but cant load it

This sight works better and is more fun with pics

I just talked to dealer they told me its not on diagram Duh ! There looking into it I told them i'll call them monday.
I didnt like them loose so I did a temporary fix by glue gunning the clip in seems to be in tight will probobly work forever but I would still like a few clips.

Any info would be appreciated.

How they broke :
I was pulling on guard to square off perfectly and the clips just broke. They seem a little cheap,I guess if you dont yank on them they are good.

This no pics problem sucks

I haven't installed my guards yet, I guess I will be very careful!

fourfourto 04-28-2006 08:10 PM

If you have to do a minor adjustment to square off perfectly or need a little more room for door opening(not to much gap between guard and door) You are better off removing them slightly bend bracket and reinstall .Do not try to adjust, pry or yank on it when installed , the clips brake like a toothpic.

Any part # or links ?

Diagramlink to diagram

# 13 looks like a push pin clip(if you make pic bigger) but its mounted with a screw and clip ?

Dealers still looking into it said they call me back.I will call them tommorow again.

What number did they order? Was it 11588851.
Are you also saying the push pin goes into it?

partsguy 05-01-2006 02:39 PM

Number 13 is (don't know why)called a nut,
Some kind of spring steel #11589117
.

I need the clip that goes behind taillight and a screw holds it in place there are 2 on each side.
Is # 13 what I need? the clip fits into a square hole apx 1/4 inch in the body

partsguy 05-01-2006 03:17 PM

There is two plug in retainers one that goes in a round hole
at the lower outer part of the tail lamp, and the upper is rectangle plug in.

If they are not what you're after then you need the inner retainers Upper and lower are the same. (bad picture) 11589117 it should be white in color.

I thinkthe part you are looking for is called a "blind nut" and is available at Home Depot, ACE Hardware or Lowes...

Do you know if they have the seal on the end.

List price is #3.51 at the dealer each .I dont know if they give you the screw even though they usually screw you .

They were not in today ,if they dont get them by tommorow I might check out home depot.
