Had these done today. I like them because they are a cleaner look.

But don't the NFAB steps moount to the body, instead of the frame, making body damage much more likely when offroading? At least that's the info I got here when I asked.

JamesT 04-14-2005 06:16 PM

They do mount to the body however...my installer welded a mod so they are attached to the frame.

I think James may be the 1st one to climb Tims' Rock, now that his Offroad cojones have arrived in the mail!

I went with the XTC steps, they bolt to the factory nerf bars with out any drilling. They can also be removed in a couple of minutes. I like the look better than factory U-Steps.

I also prefer no step, but for everyday driving my H2 is too tall to be jumping in and out of all the time. My kids would not be able to get in. With your rock sliders sticking out past the body, that would definitely help. Try getting in without the assistance of your rock sliders, it is a pretty good jump.

James can follow me up...

he has the clearance (and so do you phil...) it is
just a matter of going in harms way (I will be the one on top with the camera... )

BODY DAMAGE IS A SIGN OF COMMITMENT

ok tippy!

less than 2 weeks to 'balls check'

JamesT 04-19-2005 01:18 PM

If damage is involved...count me out. My wife will have my balls if I spend and more $$ on the truck. I'll ride with NO PHEAR PHIL. Hey, thats a great nick name! Just came up with that off the top of my head!
