So I ordered my H3 a little over a month ago and from the looks of things it will be arriving at the dealership the same time I start receiving social security checks .

The H3 comes with a 4 year 50,000 mile bumper to bumper warranty but can it be upgraded to say a 6/60 or a 7/70 for an additional charge?

I didn’t see any information about that and I was wondering if it was available did anybody purchase it and how much did it run you?

Thanks

surferJo,

you most definately can, I was offered all the way up to 6/100,000 or 7/100,000 ?? at the time of my purchase. there was three tiers Silver, Gold, and Platinum I believe. Each covered different things with the Plat covering pretty much everything bumper to bumper. I did not study it too much but noticed it was a general GM extended warr sheet with the H3 in a category of its own and I beleive the 100,000mi was in the ballpark of $2,500-$2,700 or so but don't quote me on this as like I said I didnt study the sheet, I just shook my head and said no thank you

Yes, you can extend the warranty, but you only have to do it before your 4yr/50,000mile warranty expires. I didn't see any reason to pay the money up front, 4 yrs. early, as there was no discount or incentive to do so.

I totally agree but watch the miles. If you want a GM extended warranty the price goes up depending on mileage. I foudn this out the hard way with our yellow H2. I missed the cutoff by 2K miles! No matter, we traded it anyway.

GMPP is the way to go. kacy is right about the miles. a few miles can make a huge difference. Also the surcharge from GM on the H3 was dropped form $1k to $500

Also, if you financed it you would be paying interest on it.

What is the Surcharge?

yes if you finance it you pay the interest. the surcharge is a flat fee additonal to the warranty cost the dealer has to pay GM so they pass it on to the consumer
