My opinion, use a toothpick and a tire gauge, works as good, and a lot less.

Thats a good idea .I have some plastic ones, than they can be reused if not lost.
One of my 2 tire gauges has a button to release presure but its slow.

I use them and so do a lot of the people I wheel with. IMO they're worth the money. Saves a lot of time and hassle. Just screw them on and drive off.

We use them (Paragon). I don't know how they work exactly, but I know he puts them on and the air pressure goes to what he wants. Easy to use.

They're invaluable if you are going to wheel much. We can air down 2 sets of tires while someone else does it manually for one set.

Another one to consider is Oasis. I like my Stauns and have no regrets and they have been around forever. They are probably the most accurate.

I check mine periodically on my spare tire by putting each on, letting it air down and then checking to make sure it got down to 18 psi, which is what I have them set for. I then air the spare back up and check the next one.

It's a no brainer to walk around your truck and screw these on each tire and then chit chat with someone else as they squat, push in the valve core, check the pressure..... repeat ...... for each tire.

Any concern about someone just opening them up in a parking lot? What I mean, are they so visible that some mischievous punk will play with them and cause havoc?

No, you put them on, they let the air out and you unscrew them and put your valve cap back on.

I am going to order a set after seeing everyone use them in Moab.

Neo let us use his to air down in Moab. We just left the tires aired down all week. Some of us ran over to Colorado for a day so we had to air up for the interstate.

Both the Oasis and Stauns are something you have in your gear box or glove box or something. At the trail head, you stop, screw them onto the valve stem and wait a few minutes and they will stop automatically at the air pressure you have already pre-set. You then screw them back off and put your normal valve caps back on. You're done.

You can (and I have) but its probably not the best idea. Like everyone else said, I usually put them on, BS for a couple minutes, then take them off and put the caps back on.

Thanks I keep my eye out for a good deal on a set.In the summer I will go to the beach alot they would be easyer and save time.

I got in the Stauns tire deflaters checked them today they aired down to 18 psi(they adjust also).
Hopefully on monday I will get to the beach (only open for fishing ,no day tripping yet)piping plovers are breeding and the winter took a toll on the beach.I get to run up the back trails though.:D

I've used the stauns and they are the easiest. Just a little more expensive than a key or a rock:D
