I will be removing my door panels next weekend and checking fitment of prototype Jimmi Jammer plates behind door buckets.

Anything I need to know when removing H2 door panels?

Has anyone installed the new door handle buckets? Do I need to remove window glass etc.?

Just looking for H2 "gotchas" as I am familiar with the basics of removing door panels and glass...

Once you take the panels off - find a person with small arms and hands.

Uh, you forgot the alignment joke

BTW, did the glass have to come out to swap the handles?

glass doesn't have to be removed, but the tracks do have to be dismounted so that you can slide the glass out of the way to get to the handles. otherwise, you won't reach two of the (10mm?) nuts. if you're familiar with panels and everything, that should be about it. i'll try to remember to look over everything again when i get to the shop tomorrow to make sure i'm not missing anything.

Exactly kind of info I was looking for. Good advice. Please let us know if you think of anything else.

I did it all without removing any tracks - glass was just up. It was just a PITA. I was able to reach all the bolts with a wrench, and also a small socket wrench.

VTSTOMPER,
when you changed your buckets did you say you could do it but the windows had to be rolled "up"?
You wouldn't, by chance, have some pix of the installation?

We removed the door panel, and then took the window out cuz neither one of us have small, tiny hands. Once you get the hang of it, the rest go faster. No gotcha's that I can think of, other than SMA sent the buckets for an 06 and I have an 05. The front passenger side was missing the key hole for the lock assembly. Good luck!

I was able to do it without removing the window. I did remove the two bolts to the rear window track to make it easier to reach the rear buckets' nut.
