i dont think someone can just give you a gms number if so it might not work i could be wrong but mine came with a company code that my wife had to call and activate.

You can't just get it. You MUST have a brother/sister/mother/father that works for General Motors, then you go to them to get the numbers

I can give you a GMID authorization number, but not a GMS (employee discount) number; that could cost me dearly. GM vehicle administration looks closely at certain GMS authorization numbers to make sure they are legit.
Corvette, STS, STS-V, CTS, CTS-V and Hummers are checked (Corvette to make sure the vehicle is retained for two-years).
