On a trip to Nashville today I drove by the Hummer dealership and spotted a new white H3. I stopped in to check it out and was shocked to see the dealer markup. It was pretty much a base automatic model that would have stickered for about $32k. The dealer had added rocker panel protection, removable side steps, and a front brushguard -- all for only $5,999!! Can you believe it? Shameless...

The same Coral Hummer in Pompano Beach FL is doing, that's why they did not get my business...

I don't understand why people do that, it's a way to get a customer once, and never again after that.

I ran into a guy here in Phoenix that had a black H3. He bought it from a local dealer at 5,000 over sticker.

How 'bout this guy, he paid $3K above sticker with 1800 miles... Oh, wait, that was mine...

Man! I can't believe you sold it already?! So what next? H2 SUT or Blue H3?

In a free market economy, sellers will sell at the price the market will bear. They wouldn't be marking these up this much if they weren't selling them.

The fact that EDUCATED consumers choose to wait, or to patronize dealers like Sewell is all part of the free market. How many H3s has Sewell sold due to this markup? Yes, Sewell is benefitting from this market skewing, while those who really want an H3 but not want to pay an inflated, local price, have to go get it (or have it shipped). Nobody is forcing anyone to purchase these...or at least none I've heard.
