A nicely setup Jeep cherokee does pretty well offroad.

x2

Though, You're a lot heavier, wider and your wheelbase is longer which is an advantage. You also have the air suspension, correct?

What year is it and what size tires? 33"? Any other mods? Extended fenders for larger tires etc...

Really, it depends on the driver and what trails/obstacles- there are advantages to both vehicles in different situations. I bet you are a hell of a lot more comfortable inside though.

People like to tawk smack- let em. Then casually set-up a wheeling outing. They will be surprised and you can see for yourself what I am talking about.

architeuthis is pretty much thought to inhabit all of the oceans

PARAGON 03-19-2006 02:28 PM

BTW, I bet the Cherokee and his driver can definitely outwheel you.

The Japanese (IIRC) filmed one last year. But he was only about 30 feet long.

h2co-pilot 03-19-2006 02:36 PM

Oh yeah, I remember that.

But if you are going to have an hour show on something you better produce the goods! That is all.

Every commercial break:

"Stay tuned- Dr. Jerkinstock finds something promising in his next expedition....."

break - I am writhing in anticipation..

Show resumes- "Dr. Jerkinstock finds a squid shit particle that may or may not belong to the cousin of the Giant squid..."

Agreed

Or it is all frozen **** that washed up on the shore and Dr. Jerkinstock is pulling it out of a garbage bag.

Some speculate that giant squids attack whales.

Here's a picture of me catching one. Eventually I set the beast free after carving just a little off him for a snack(Great with soy.).

I really am looking forward to more Bigfoot documentaries. We have them here in Colorado and Utah. They are not as common as the albino Jackalope, but have the mentality of most Canadians.

If the Cherokee is locked in the front and/or rear, it very likely could go places that a stock H2 could not. There is a large equation of driver skill invloved though and I'm pretty sure that an above average driver would smoke a newb no matter what vehicle they are driving. The Cherokee, like the Wrangler, is a very solid platform to build a very capable off-road vehicle. There were very few significant changes to the vehicle during it's production run simply because it was a very well designed.
