Saw that at the dealership, does anyone know why the chrome rims cant be mounted on the adventure series? I have adventure\luxury, and it appears the rims are the same size. Im sure there is an obvious reason, but the dealer does not know. Thanks in advance!

I'm selling mine, put them on yourself and forget the dealer, check the classified section.

As far as I know, they are the exact same rim. Could be some marketing weenie thinks that Adventure series vehicles should not have them, so can't be ordered from the factory.
I may be wrong, but I'm pretty sure I have seen adventure tires at least on chrome wheels somewhere at the GM tech center. |
Thanks, I was considering chrome for summer and stock for winter, rather then blow mad money of fancy wheels I might destroy

As of 2 weeks ago you can now get them from the factory.

I could have sworn that start allowing them back in the fall.

We've put them on for plenty of customers, not a big deal at all.
As Planohummer said, you can now get them from the factory. The chrome wheels that come on with the ZM6/Offroad package (the option code is QB8 instead of the normal QB9) are a chromed version of the regular wheel, i.e. split-spoke chrome instead of the normal wide-spokes. Here's some pictures I just snapped. |
Help me with some confusion...
This guy has a 7 spoke wheel he says is H3: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/HUMMER-H3-CHEVY-16-OE-AL...QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem While this one says the wheels are 17", I thought they were all 16"? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/16-2005-Hummer-H3-GM-150...QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem Do you know what the dealer gets for them, seems $500 for a set of 4-5 take-offs is fairly normal... Thanks again! |
I'd sell mine for $600, shipping to NY from MD shouldn't be bad...
