I will say that is one thing Jeep does that I wish Hummer would.

As a former Blackhawk Pilot I think I deserve a big discount?

You deserve? Look dude, you don't deserve **** for serving our country. All of our Armed Forces are volunteer. You knew the compensation and risk when you signed up.

I was in the military for the better part of 10 years and I don't expect anything more than the next guy.

What do you get for serving? Freedom.

GoldenH2 07-28-2005 04:02 PM

seriously it is nice to see Jeep say thank you. When I was deciding between a new GC and my sut I just noticed that it seemed Jeep cared that I just came back from serving for 18 months.

I didnt join the armed forces just for thew discount I just thought it was nice.

I didnt even get the employee discount

Bill Kervaski 07-28-2005 04:04 PM

Agreed.

HummerNewbie 07-28-2005 04:09 PM

I agree that nobody is entitled a discount but it would be nice if all auto manufacturers would honor our troops, active or not, with a discount.

GoldenH2 07-28-2005 04:12 PM

not all of them but those who did real work and saw some action

VTSTOMPER 07-28-2005 04:14 PM

nevermind

Mr. I - Man 07-28-2005 04:17 PM

Hey, former Blackhawk pilot why would you need an discount you should be making some good scratch in the Civie World as a Rotor Head. ****ing liar where was your flight school???

GoldenH2 07-28-2005 04:25 PM

I didnt say I needed it I simply said it was nice of Jeep to offer it.

You have no right to call me a liar.

KenP 07-28-2005 04:33 PM

Because of our proximity to Oceana and Norfolk, not to mention all the other bases, it's not unusual for specials to be given to our men and women of the armed forces.

I'd love for you to spout off like that to any Marine. Also, please post pics of you H2 at Grey Rock ORV or offroad anywhere.

PARAGON 07-28-2005 07:14 PM

Well, first. I can say that there are now 2 Marines that have posted in this thread and both seem to share the same opinion.

See, dumbass liars can't seem to even lie well. Served 18 months. Don't try to make any fcking excuses, no one else would just say they "served" for 18 months. You might would have had an 18 month tour or something but a whirly-flyer has to spend quite a bit more time "in" before he becomes a pilot.

Yeah, I am sure you are going to try to say you were "over there" for 18 months. BS and you are fcking liar and should be shot for demeaning what it actually takes to serve your country.

As for as the gay comment about spouting off to any Marine, well, it's gay. Marines don't pay any higher of a price than any other member of our Armed Forces. We are just the first to do so.

I got a Vet's discount on my Rubi ... no lie.

Bill Kervaski 07-28-2005 09:47 PM

Cool! Who are the devil dogs of the bunch? I was a corpsman for 7 years.

PARAGON 07-28-2005 10:30 PM

No sir you are not lying. To be exact, you got the $500 Jeep Military bonus cash program which is available to eligible active military, retired military, active military reserve, retired military reserve, and veterans.
(Comments) This program is not combinable with the Jeep Everyday Heroes bonus cash program.

And JEEP is also offering $500 Everyday Heroes program which is available to eligible law enforcement officers, firefighters, emergency medical technicians and paramedics.

Kudos for JEEP for doing the above but what's sad is they offer $1000 on their College Grad program which is available as long as you're 18 years of age. Holds a 2-year, 4-year, master's, doctorate or registered nurse degree from an accredited college or university, or be currently enrolled in a master's or doctorate program, or be an undergraduate within six months of graduation.

Hmmm, I think it's more of an insult to offer some kid that hasn't even graduate more rebate than the Military and the Everyday Heroes. I am not exactly sure I understand jeep's perspective on the appreciation

PARAGON 07-28-2005 10:56 PM

Well, they're owned by DC. That should explain it.

Unfortuniately, they never pay enough tribute to those deserving it.

You should never pretend to be what your not. Especially since too many died, for what your trying to be. They served for what they believed in, and never asked for anything in return, but for us to remain free.

Freedom ISN'T FREE!!!
