Someone broke into my truck last night IN A SECURE PARKING LOT.

The didn't even try to break the rear quarter panel window, the tried to pry the damn thing off with a small crowbar or screwdrive.
Naturally it shattered.
Fawked up my paint a bit too

The didn't even steal anything?

I went to see the building manager and said, let s look at the video tapes, there's video cameras all over the garage.

She looked a little nervous, twiddled her fingers and said "ah, there's a problem there. The stole the video equipment and we can't afford to replace it. We have the cameras..."

That's worse than useless. Now any scheming scumbag that knows the entry code to our garage can rob to their hearts content under cover of a locked door.

Time to find a new apartment or time to buy a Glock

The glass is going to cost $254. Now sure on the labor yet.

Not happy

Sorry to hear that. Time to take a crowbar to the bastard.

Jackwins 02-16-2006 08:03 PM

Damn, I'm really sorry to hear that. I would go with the glock. Its what I carry

DDWH 02-16-2006 08:06 PM

That sucks ballz man! Might be time to stake out the parking area and whoops some A$$!

Rudedog 02-16-2006 08:18 PM

Glocks work great, so do Ruger 45's. But if you really want to reach out and touch someone, 30/30 high power rifle.
At least it does a number on a deer.

Sewie 02-16-2006 08:47 PM

I thought this was going to be about some of us who spend a little too much time on here.

Sorry to hear about your truck, FJ. Hope you catch the bastards.

Steve - SanJose 02-16-2006 10:36 PM

Former Jeeper,

Sorry to hear about the break-in. San Francisco is especially bad for car break-ins. They will break your window just to take 50 cents out of your ashtray.

I know.
Getting time to move back to the South Bay I think.
I used to live in the Los Gatos Mountains.
This kind of crap never happened there...

I thought the three S's were sh*t, shower and shave.

KenP 02-17-2006 07:09 PM

C, I forgot our garage code. Could you PM it to me.

I wonder if you could consider holding the building management responsible.

LMAO- that was the first phrase that I thouhgt of too.

AfroCreame 02-18-2006 03:44 AM

Damn that sucks, but I can definately understand your situation. I parked my 2 week old H3 at Walmart in a area where I could see that my h3 was in view of the secruity cameras and I only had one other space next to me as the other was a median. I cam back out 15 mins later and someone had pulled back and rammed the back drivers side door! (*&#$(*&$(#*&(* BITCHES@(*&$(*!@&(!& Still had the paper plates! I'am not talking a door ding but a big dent right where the crease is...they even left their paint! YAY! Anyway I went into Wally Mart and asked if I could see the security tapes and they told me only a police officer can. I called the police, filed the report and was told they would review the tapes and get back to me. Two days later they called to ask what model my Hummer was, which I then asked about the cameras. Get this ****.....they weren't even on!!!! Almost think that the outside cameras are for prevention, not for a crime fighting tool...bastards..just got the H3 yesterday...looks great and my pocket is now $830 lighter.

Steve - SanJose 02-18-2006 04:34 AM

I call it "simulated security", kind of like the "simulated customer service" that I get from my phone company.
