Anyone have any feedback as to which programmer is better? Jet Performance or Hypertech?

bigolH2 02-23-2006 12:25 PM

I just picked up a Hypertech & plan to load it up tonite. The main reason I bought it is I'm due for new tires soon and will be going to 37's. The extra power & firmer shifts sound good too. I'll post over the weekend (from Paragon ) as to how I like it.

After my truck died while programming and killed everything, I went back to stock and will not touch that thing again. Fortunately, I was at a Hummer Club event and the dealer reprogrammed it for me. Otherwise, it would have had to be flat bedded to a dealer.

OOOHHH! that blows. sounds like a glitch though. never heard of that before so im not too worried about it!

Update -

I had to send mine back to Hypertech for a software update. Got it back and installed the 87 octane program and increased the trans line pressure. I defintely notice a power gain and the trans shifts better now. Happy with it!

Good stuff! Increase in gas mileage also or just power? what was wrong with the programmer, or was it just an upgrade?

MONSTERMATT 03-06-2006 01:17 PM

dude i think u will be hard pressed to find an increase in gas mileage no matter waht, unless u dont drive the truck!!!!

bigolH2 03-06-2006 01:23 PM

yah, figured so, but some is better than none. the volant increased it up to 10mpg and that got me all excited so a little more and ill be even happier!

No difference so far.
