Hi all.

One thing our H3s do not have much of is handy small item storage like for cell phones for instance. I bought an item called a Sticky Pad from iGrip, originally an iPod accessory. Its a sticky gel porous material and really works. You just put the little mat on your dash, put your cell on it, Blackberry, iPod, glasses and even on quick turns the items will not move and you just lift to clean your dash it leaves no mark or residue. They come in a wide variety of sizes and colors now from a variety of manufacturers. Well worth the minimal cost.
Here is a link but there are tons of others...

There is another product out there called the Cell Mate. I pass them out for my business as a marketing tool. I have my business name silkscreened on it and my customers love them. You're right... You can drive like a maniac and your cell phone and sunglasses stick right to it!

I'm looking for an item similar to the remote control holsters you place over your easy chair arm. I want it narrower to fit over the hump in front of the shifting lever. Put pockets on both sides & WHAM BE DAM. If I don't find it I'll have it sown. Tired of my sunglasses, radar detector, etc, falling all over the place.

Thanks for the tip, I just ordered 2 - 1 for the dash and 1 to cut up and put in front of the shifter. There is a blank area there inbetween the shifter and the center dash where they should have put in some sort of storage tray.

Its true. What a wasted space that is. I do not know how sucessful the sticky pad can be there however but its worth a shot.

Does anyone know whats under that area.Maybee a pic with the console off.
I was thinking of puting in a rectangle ashtray there ,maybee a sliding topped one in black.
Im not sure if there is room though.

In case y'all haven't discovered it, products like Armor All will nullify the "stickiness" of these pads, so be careful.

Uh... Yeah... You don't Armor All the pad itself... But you can Armor All the dash prior to sticking it on... If you like Armor All... I can't stand the stuff myself...

I am not sure but would love to know as well.

Maybe f5fstop knows?

That was a perfect opportunity for to have had a small tray installed there to hold pocket change, cell phones, etc..

There is nothing electronic or mechanical to prevent an ashtray being installed there. Of course it can only be as deep as the space will allow, but it should not interfere with anything.
